United Way of Brazoria County (UWBC) fosters and maintains an environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are valued and upheld in all of the work that we do. We believe in treating everyone with integrity and value all our staff, volunteers, partners, clients, and community members.
• UWBC encourages all individuals to embrace diversity. We work diligently to treat everyone with the utmost care and compassion, honoring the human rights of every individual.
• UWBC collaborates with our community to ensure everyone has equitable access to the resources, support, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive.
• UWBC fosters an inclusive, healthy, and strong community where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Racial Equity Statement
United Way of Brazoria County (UWBC) recognizes that systemic racism and oppression negatively impact our Lower Shore community and result in disparities in health, education, and financial stability. Every individual is entitled to freedom from these systemic forces that have historically marginalized them and limited their opportunities.

UWBC strives to address disparities by focusing on racial equity in our financial support, awareness-building, and advocacy. We also strive to advance racial equity in our leadership and staff, partners, donors, and volunteers. Our organization is committed to an equitable Brazoria County community, in which race or ethnicity is not a determinant or barrier to an individual's health, education or financial stability.
