Come and get your 2024 taxes e-filed for FREE!
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to households that earned $58,000 or less in the previous year, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. VITA is a financial stability initiative supported by United Way of Brazoria County.
At VITA Sites, IRS-certified United Way volunteers provide free, basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
The 2025 tax season marks the 19th year VITA has been available to residents of Brazoria County. In 2024, our volunteers worked for a total of 499 hours at 4 tax preparation sites to prepare and submit 2022 tax returns for 235 households. The refunds of these returns brought back a total of $289,578 to Brazoria County residents.
